Just a reminder to please upload a video of your child doing their reading at home on to tapestry for us to see.
If you download the tapestry app, click on the + button and then choose take a video. This will record within the app and so record for a longer time period.
If you record on your phone and then try to upload the video later on to the app it will tell you that you need to cut the video down in size and cut off the video. It will not do this if you record through the tapestry app itself.
We would also love to see anything else from home that you would like to share with us. It is great to see what the children do at home and we can use these observations as part of our assessments of your child too!
Many thanks in advance and if you need any help just let us know!
In our computing lessons we have been learning to program Beebots which are programmable floor robots. We have been learning how to direct a beebot, how to make it turn and how to make it go from one place to another. To extend our learning with the beebots, this week we have introduced the iPads which have a beebot app.
Next week some children will have a go at writing their own algorithms for the beebots.
Here are some photos showing our turn taking skills in action. We also had to problem solve together today when we made a mistake and help each other to get the beebot through the maze. Great effort Reception!
In our music lesson this week we have been listening to a piece of music called “Flight Of The Bumblebee”. We have been listening carefully to the music to be inspired to paint in yellow and black colours. We have … Continue reading →
Unfortunately due to the snow today and impassable roads our Eureka trip is cancelled. We realise this is really disappointing for the children (and staff) but the safety of our children is paramount. We will endeavour to rearrange this trip and will keep you posted as and when we are able to do this. Please pass this message on to other parents you know or have the number of.
