This is our reception team of staff and volunteers through the eyes of Armarniyah!
This week we are continuing our Superhero topic. Today we read Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. In the story the whale becomes beached on a bay and the fire service have to come to rescue the whale. This made us think about the real life superheroes in our environments. We thought of many examples of real life superheroes together as a class such as; Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, The Fire Brigade, Police and the Army.
A ginormous cardboard box had found its way to our class carpet at lunch time. We decided to get creative!
What do you think it is going to be?
Watch this space to see our creativity unfold…
We have had so much fun exploring colour today through looking at the artist Jackson Pollock.
Here are some of the questions we thought about whilst expressing ourselves through paint:
Can you remember where Jackson Pollock came from?
How did it make you feel when you were painting?
How did you produce your patterns?
What happened when you dipped a ball in paint and then bounced it on your art work?
For those artists who have not had their turn yet do not worry! We are continuing this activity tomorrow!
Now that our blog is up and running. Here are some photos of the children making their Christmas cards that were sent to print before half term! We hope all those who ordered them like them when they arrive.
